After launching its first showroom in Mumbai last month, Elon Musk’s Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt Ltd has leased a large space in Gurugram for its second location in the country.
The company has taken nearly 51,000 square feet of super built-up area at Orchid Business Park on Sohna Road, Gurugram, for a period of nine years. The lease began on July 15, 2025, and was officially registered on July 28, as per documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
Out of the total, 33,475 square feet is chargeable area. The monthly rent starts at ₹40.17 lakh in the first year and will increase annually by 4.75 percent. By the ninth year, the rent will rise to around ₹58.22 lakh per month. Tesla has paid ₹4.41 crore as a security deposit for the property. The agreement also includes 51 dedicated parking spaces.
This Gurugram facility will serve as a combination of a retail outlet, service centre, and warehouse. The space has been leased from Garwal Property Pvt Ltd. Ownership of the land is shared between Garwal Property Pvt Ltd (75.94 percent), Suncity Real Estate LLP (21 percent), and Orchid Infrastructure Developers Pvt Ltd (3.06 percent). According to the lease deed, rent must be paid before the seventh day of each month.
This is Tesla’s second major real estate move in India after Mumbai. Last month, the company leased 24,565 square feet of warehouse space at Lodha Logistics Park in Kurla, Mumbai, for a total rent of ₹4.38 crore over five years.
Reports also suggest that Tesla will soon open a showroom at Worldmark Mall in Aerocity, New Delhi, on August 11.
Neither Tesla nor Garwal Property Pvt Ltd has commented on the development.
