The Staff Selection Commission SSC is soon expected to release the official notification for GD Constable Recruitment 2026 in line with the SSC Exam Calendar 2025 2026. The recruitment will be conducted for General Duty Constable and Rifleman posts across multiple Central Armed Police Forces CAPF including BSF CRPF CISF ITBP SSB NIA SSF and Assam Rifles
The selection process will include a one month application window followed by a Computer Based Test CBT Physical Efficiency Test PET Physical Standard Test PST medical examinations and document verification stages
The notification will be uploaded on the official website of SSC ssc gov in where candidates will be able to check complete details such as application process important dates eligibility criteria examination pattern and total vacancies
Based on previous recruitment cycles the key eligibility requirements were as follows
Minimum educational qualification Matriculation 10th pass from a recognized board
Age requirement 18 to 23 years as on 1 January 2025 with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories such as up to 5 years for SC ST and 3 years for OBC
Physical standards depending on gender category and force for example the minimum height requirement for male UR category candidates in BSF was 170 cm with relaxations for eligible groups
Applications will be accepted only through the online mode and candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website ssc gov in for updates regarding the notification release date
