Dehradun, Jagran Correspondent: The excitement for the Chardham Yatra 2025 is reaching new heights, especially among international devotees. Thousands of pilgrims from countries like the United States, Nepal, and Malaysia have already registered for the sacred pilgrimage.
Foreign Devotees Show Growing Interest
According to the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB), more than 3,200 devotees from the United States have registered for the Yatra — the highest number from any foreign country this year.
Nepal follows with approximately 1,800 registrations.
Malaysia is third with over 1,400 devotees registered.
Last year, a total of 49,556 foreign pilgrims visited the Chardham circuit.
Online Registration Started on March 20
To streamline the pilgrimage and ensure safety, the UTDB began online Aadhaar and passport-based registration from March 20, 2025. This allows devotees to select their travel dates in advance and ensures smooth crowd management at the sacred sites.
Temple Opening Dates
The pilgrimage formally begins from April 30, 2025, and the shrines will open as follows:
Kedarnath Dham: May 2
Badrinath Dham: May 4
Hemkund Sahib: May 25
The increasing number of international devotees reflects the spiritual significance and global appeal of the Chardham Yatra.
