Kajol and Twinkle Khanna have finally broken their silence on the online criticism they received for their views on infidelity and marriage, shared during their Amazon Prime talk show Two Much. In a newly released bonus episode, the duo addressed the controversy with their trademark humour and honesty.
“This Segment Has Gotten Us Into A Lot of Trouble” — Kajol
As the bonus episode began, Kajol acknowledged the uproar caused by their earlier statements.
“Now it’s time for our next segment, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble,” she joked, adding that the discussions were always meant to be light-hearted rather than serious commentary.
Twinkle followed with a tongue-in-cheek clarification:
“There’s a disclaimer, which we should have had from the first episode, that nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously. Please don’t follow any of our advice.”
The episode also featured cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma.
Twinkle Khanna’s Viral Comment on Infidelity
One of the biggest flashpoints came from an earlier episode featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar, where the topic of emotional versus physical infidelity was discussed.
Karan Johar said physical infidelity is not a deal-breaker. Twinkle agreed, adding, “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s. She hasn’t seen the things we have seen. Raat gayi baat gayi.”
Janhvi Kapoor, however, firmly disagreed, saying, “No, the deal is broken.”
Twinkle’s candid remark sparked widespread debate online about generational perspectives on relationships.
Kajol’s Take on Marriage and Expiry Dates
In another episode with Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon, the group was asked whether marriage should come with an expiry date.
Twinkle joked, “No, it’s marriage, not a washing machine.”
Kajol took a bold opposing stand.
“I definitely think so. What guarantees that you’ll marry the right person at the right time? A renewal option would make sense. If there’s an expiry date, no one has to suffer for too long.”
Kriti and Vicky sided with Twinkle, rejecting the idea of an “expiry date” on marriage.
Internet Divided, But Discussions Continue
While many viewers enjoyed the candid, humorous tone of the show, a section of social media questioned the hosts’ approach and the sensitivity of such topics.
Despite the backlash, Kajol and Twinkle’s remarks have successfully sparked conversations about modern relationships, evolving values, and how different generations view love, commitment, and fidelity.
