The makers of Jolly LLB 3 have unveiled the film’s first look, teasing a courtroom clash between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi as they reprise their roles from the popular legal comedy franchise. The motion poster, released by Star Studios on Monday, shows both actors dressed as lawyers, each holding legal documents, trying to push past one another through a courtroom door.
The poster hints at the central conflict of the film — determining who is the ‘asli Jolly’ (real Jolly). Star Studios captioned the post, “Case number 1722 ki yachika hui manzoor! Advocate Jolly aur Advocate Jolly hazir ho!” Akshay Kumar added in the comments, “Jolly from Kanpur urf asli Jolly hazir hai, my lord!” The teaser of the film is set to drop on Tuesday, August 12.
Fans have reacted enthusiastically, with many expressing excitement for the comedic face-off. Comments included, “This time Jolly vs Jolly, can’t wait,” and “This looks really exciting, can’t wait for the teaser tomorrow.”
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the Jolly LLB series began in 2013 with Arshad Warsi as Advocate Jagdish Tyagi, alongside Boman Irani, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla. The film was both a critical and commercial success. The 2017 sequel starred Akshay Kumar as Advocate Jagdishwar ‘Jolly’ Mishra, with Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor joining the cast, and Shukla reprising his role as the judge.
Jolly LLB 3 will bring both Jollys together for the first time, with Saurabh Shukla returning once again. The film is slated for a theatrical release on September 19.
