Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Saurabh Shukla’s Jolly LLB 3 has emerged as a major box office success, crossing the ₹100 crore mark worldwide within just five days of its release. The film, directed by Subhash Kapoor and presented by Star Studio18, had high expectations from fans, given the popularity of the previous two installments.
In India, Jolly LLB 3 collected ₹6.5 crore on its fifth day, taking its domestic total to ₹78.50 crore. Overseas, the film has added another ₹23 crore, bringing the total worldwide collection to ₹101.50 crore, according to Sacnilk. Analysts say that the film’s blend of humour, courtroom drama, and social commentary has resonated with audiences both in India and abroad.
The movie brings together a strong ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, and Gajraj Rao. It tells the story of struggling farmers whose lands are being seized by a corrupt businessman, portrayed by Gajraj Rao. Akshay Kumar’s character, a lawyer, ends up on the wrong side of the case, leading to a series of witty, chaotic, and often hilarious confrontations with Arshad Warsi’s character, who plays a rival lawyer. The film combines social messaging with courtroom comedy, a formula that has worked consistently for the franchise.
Jolly LLB 3 continues the legacy of the franchise, which began in 2013 with the original Jolly LLB, starring Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla, followed by Jolly LLB 2 in 2017, featuring Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi. The third installment ups the stakes by tackling issues related to farmers’ rights, corruption, and the legal system, all while keeping the humour and quirky courtroom drama intact.
Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra praised the movie, saying, “Jolly LLB is a very brave film about our times. It takes guts and skill to take issues throbbing within our society and then turn them into a popular tale. All the actors are in rhythm and sync as they play their characters.”
With strong performances, a socially relevant storyline, and clever humour, Jolly LLB 3 is expected to maintain momentum at the box office in the coming weeks, both domestically and in overseas markets, making it one of the fastest films in the franchise to cross the ₹100 crore mark.
