The fifth edition of the Jagran Josh Education Summit & Awards 2025 was held at The Lalit Hotel, Delhi. The event focused on the theme Tech4Good and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Focus on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar highlighted NEP 2020 as a groundbreaking initiative. He stated, “Education reveals the inherent qualities of a child. NEP aims to make students proficient in their talents from an early age by building a strong foundational base.”
Delhi Government’s Focus on Entrepreneurship Education
Ashish Sood, Delhi’s Minister for Home, Power, Urban Development, Education and Training, announced that the government is working to foster an entrepreneurial mindset in students from classes 6 to 12. Under this initiative, students will receive training through successful startups to help them launch their own ventures based on practical skills.
A Global Gamechanger
Former Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ called NEP 2020 a global gamechanger. He remarked, “It is the world’s largest educational innovation involving all levels of governance—from village heads to the Prime Minister. Consultations for the policy included 330 million students, their parents, 11 million teachers, and university leaders across the country.”
