Decision Following Air Quality Improvement
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has decided to lift all restrictions imposed under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR. This decision comes after a noticeable improvement in air quality across the region.
Gradual Relief from Pollution Curbs
With pollution levels declining, measures such as bans on construction activities, restrictions on industrial operations, and curbs on vehicular movement have been withdrawn. Authorities had initially implemented these steps under GRAP to counter severe air pollution.
CAQM’s Monitoring to Continue
Despite the removal of restrictions, CAQM will continue to monitor the air quality and may reimpose measures if pollution levels rise again. Officials have urged residents and industries to follow sustainable practices to prevent further environmental deterioration.
Delhi’s Air Quality Shows Positive Trend
The recent improvement in air quality is attributed to favorable weather conditions and strict enforcement of anti-pollution measures. Experts, however, caution that continuous efforts are needed to maintain and further enhance air quality in the region.
