Strong Winds and a Sudden Drop in Temperature
Since Tuesday, March 4, strong winds have been sweeping across Delhi and its neighboring regions, causing a noticeable drop in temperature. Even on March 5, these winds continued to prevail, adding a chill to the air and making the cold more intense.
IMD Weather Update
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), clear skies have led to strong winds reaching speeds of 25 to 35 km/h during the day. These winds have contributed to the decrease in temperature, making it feel much colder than usual, especially in the morning and evening hours.
The Unpredictable Weather Turn
After a brief period of warmth, the unexpected return of winter-like conditions has taken many by surprise. The cool winds and drop in temperature are being referred to as a “winter U-turn,” signaling a sudden shift back to chillier weather for Delhi-NCR.
What’s Next for Delhi’s Weather?
Weather experts predict that the current conditions will persist for a few more days, with temperatures continuing to dip. Delhiites can expect cold winds to dominate the atmosphere, keeping the winter weather alive for now.
