Alia and Ranbir Immersed in Shooting for Love & War
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are currently deeply involved in the shooting of their new film Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is among the most awaited projects, also featuring Vicky Kaushal in a key role. Recently, reports surfaced about a change in the film’s release date. Now, more updates have emerged regarding the intense shooting schedule.
Love & War Release Pushed Again
Initially scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, Love & War was later postponed to Eid 2026. However, fresh reports suggest another shift — the film is now expected to hit theatres around India’s Independence Day in August 2026. Meanwhile, the star cast is busy completing their portions.
Night Shoots for Romantic and Emotional Sequences
According to Mid-Day, the principal cast is shooting night schedules at Joker Maidan in Film City, Goregaon, Mumbai. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his emotional depth and stunning visuals, is currently focusing on capturing critical emotional sequences.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are reportedly filming intense emotional monologues every night from 6 PM to sunrise. Bhansali wants to shoot these scenes at night to enhance their intensity and visual impact, staying true to his signature poetic and cinematic style.
Grand Action Sequence Yet to be Filmed
Reports further reveal that a massive action sequence is yet to be shot. If this action block is completed by August, Love & War could be ready for a March 2026 premiere. However, any delays might push the release to mid-2026. So far, production is proceeding as per schedule. The night shoots are expected to wrap up by this weekend, after which the team will move on to filming indoor scenes.
Official Release Date Yet to Be Announced
While there has been no official announcement about the release date, all signs point towards a grand Independence Day 2026 weekend launch for this epic love saga.
