Adani Group Launches Fully Funded Scholarships for Students at India’s Top Business Schools

The Adani Group has announced 24 fully funded scholarships for management students from India’s premier business institutions under the 2025–27 cohort of the Adani Accelerated Leadership Programme (AALP). The initiative aims to support high-potential students by removing financial barriers and nurturing future business leaders through structured industry exposure and mentorship.

The selected scholars come from leading institutions including the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, and the Indian School of Business. The scholars were formally felicitated at the Group’s headquarters in Ahmedabad by Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone and Director at Adani Cement.

The scholarship programme reinforces the Group’s focus on inclusive leadership development and nation-building by ensuring that talented students are not restricted by financial limitations. According to the company, the AALP selection process follows a rigorous evaluation framework combining academic excellence with demonstrated financial need, allowing merit to remain the primary selection criterion.

Addressing the scholars and their families during the felicitation ceremony, Karan Adani emphasised that the initiative goes beyond financial assistance. He noted that talent exists everywhere but opportunities do not, and the programme is designed to provide access, exposure, and mentorship aligned with the scholars’ ambitions so they can contribute to India’s next phase of growth.

The 2025–27 cohort reflects diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Among the scholars is Anand Babu Kamineni, a first-year MBA student at IIM Calcutta who ranked within the top 0.1 per cent in national examinations such as JEE, CAT, and UPSC. Coming from a small village in Andhra Pradesh, his journey highlights how access to opportunity can amplify perseverance and academic excellence.

Another scholar, Ayush Srivastava from IIM Lucknow, brings significant professional experience, having trained more than 500 engineers in complex oil and gas systems and led technology upgrades across European offshore operations. The cohort also includes Madhu Gupta of IIM Calcutta, known for leading large operational teams with a focus on safety and execution excellence, and Kanav Bansal, whose early career work delivered measurable financial outcomes through high-impact systems.

Beyond tuition support, the AALP programme provides structured industry immersion, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to large-scale infrastructure and enterprise platforms. The goal is to bridge classroom learning with real-world operational experience, helping scholars develop practical leadership capabilities alongside academic knowledge.

As India continues to accelerate its economic and technological growth, initiatives that connect academia with industry are increasingly seen as essential for building future leadership capacity. Through the Adani Accelerated Leadership Programme, the Group aims to create a pipeline of leaders grounded in excellence, responsibility, and national development.

The 2025–27 scholarship announcement marks another expansion of AALP as a platform designed to transform aspiration into opportunity while aligning individual achievement with broader societal progress.
