With the upcoming Char Dham Yatra and summer tourist season approaching, the Dehradun police have intensified their preparations. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh conducted a meeting with all senior police officials and directed them to formulate a dedicated traffic management plan for Rishikesh, a key transit point for pilgrims and tourists.
Traffic Diversion Points to Be Identified at Tourist Spots
To ensure smooth vehicular flow and prevent traffic congestion, SSP Singh instructed officers to identify diversion points in major tourist areas and establish alternative routes. This will help manage the anticipated surge in vehicles and ensure that pilgrims and tourists face minimal inconvenience.
Review Meeting Held with Police Officials
On Sunday, SSP Ajay Singh chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the police headquarters with district police officers. During the session, preparations for the Char Dham Yatra and summer tourism season were evaluated thoroughly.
Deployment of Adequate Police Force Ordered
SSP Singh also directed that a sufficient number of police personnel be deployed at all key duty points already marked in the region. The goal is to ensure a safe, organized, and hassle-free travel experience for all pilgrims and tourists visiting Uttarakhand during the peak season.
