The box office storm created by Dhurandhar 2 continues to intensify, with the Ranveer Singh starrer crossing a massive ₹370 crore worldwide collection in just two days, setting new benchmarks for Indian cinema.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller released on March 19 and has been on a record-breaking run since its opening. After earning ₹145 crore net on day one, the film added another ₹81 crore on Friday, taking its domestic total to ₹226 crore net (₹269 crore gross) in just two days.
The film has shown extraordinary consistency with only a minor dip on day two, defying typical box office trends. It now holds the record for the two highest single-day collections for a Hindi film in India, pushing Jawan down the list.
Internationally, the film has performed equally strongly. It earned nearly $7 million including previews on day one, followed by an additional $5 million on Friday. With this, its global total has reached ₹370 crore, and trade analysts expect it to cross ₹500 crore by the end of the weekend.
In a major milestone, Dhurandhar 2 has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several big-budget films, including Adipurush (₹350 crore) and War 2 (₹338 crore), within just two days of release.
The film is now on track to become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year and is expected to overtake Border 2 at the top spot soon.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film features an ensemble cast including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
With a bumper weekend ahead and strong word of mouth, Dhurandhar 2 is poised to rewrite multiple box office records and further cement its dominance in theatres.
