Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa will undertake a four-day visit to India starting Monday, October 13, 2025, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties in sectors including energy, mining, and defence. This will be President Khurelsukh’s first visit to India since assuming office.
The Mongolian leader will be accompanied by a high-level delegation consisting of Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, senior officials, and business leaders, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). During the visit, President Khurelsukh is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the full spectrum of India-Mongolia relations.
President Droupadi Murmu will also meet the visiting dignitary and host a banquet in his honour. The diplomatic relationship between India and Mongolia dates back to 1955 and has steadily expanded over the decades to cover areas such as defence and security, energy, mining, information technology, education, healthcare, and cultural cooperation.
India and Mongolia are considered strategic partners and “spiritual neighbours,” the MEA said in a statement. The ministry added that the upcoming state visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of both countries to assess progress in bilateral relations, set a vision for deepening strategic partnership, and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
