Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s annual interaction programme with students, teachers and parents, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025, has entered the Guinness World Records for “most people registered on a citizen engagement platform in one month.” A total of 3.53 crore valid registrations were recorded on the MyGov portal for this year’s event.
The Guinness World Records certificate was presented in New Delhi by adjudicator Rishi Nath in the presence of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State Jitin Prasada, School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar and MyGov CEO Nand Kumar.
Started in 2018, PPC allows the Prime Minister to interact with students, parents and teachers on issues like exam stress, digital distractions and time management. Over the years, the event has been aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 to make exams less stressful and more about celebrating learning.
Dharmendra Pradhan said the record shows the wide appeal of the programme, noting that PPC 2025 not only saw 3.53 crore registrations but also over 21 crore viewership across various media platforms. He said this was the second Guinness recognition during his tenure, after the Pahal LPG subsidy scheme.
Ashwini Vaishnaw called PPC a forward-looking initiative that fosters meaningful interaction, while Jitin Prasada praised MyGov’s technology-driven outreach, saying the record underlines the power of digital platforms for participatory governance.
With initiatives like the Skill India Digital Hub and a focus on critical thinking and experiential learning, PPC continues to put NEP 2020 into action. Its stress-free approach to exams, practical tips from the Prime Minister and accessibility to millions make it one of the key programmes for youth engagement in the country.
